Marie-Ann Umali was born in Batangas City, in the Philippines. She is tourism graduated from DLSU College of St. Benilde. She aspires to become a flight attendant and to open and run her own restaurant. She has previously competed in other beauty pageants like, 2006 Binibining Philippines Candidate.

Marie-Ann Umali, who will represent the Philippines in this year's Miss World beauty pageant, after winning the rights in the Binibining Pilipinas 2009 coronation night held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon city, Metro Manila March 8, 2009 Sunday.

At the end of the pageant three ladies beat the other candidates for the 3 coveted crowns at the competition finals, Binibining Pilipinas- International is the 23 years old Businesswoman Melody Gersbach, she will represent the country in Miss International, Binibining Pilipinas-Universe is 22 years old Flight attendant Pamela Bianca Manalo, who was chosen to compete in the Miss Universe pageant, Binibining Pilipinas-World is 22 years old Tourism graduate Marie Ann Umali, for Miss World 2009. Umali also won the Best in Long Gown and Miss Photogenic plum contests during the pageant.

Pamela Bianca Manalo (born August 30, 1986), a native of Manila, was crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2009 – Universe at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, on March 7, 2009. It was aired live over GMA Network nationwide with Paolo Bediones and Iza Calzado as hosts.
Pamela Bianca is the sister of Katherine Anne Manalo, Miss World 2002 Top 10 finalist and the niece of Nini Ramos, Miss International 1968 Top 15 semi-finalist. During the Bb. Pilipinas 2009 pageant she won awards including the Best in Swimsuit and some sponsors awards like Miss Natasha, Miss Philippine Airlines and Manila Bulletin Reader's Choice Award. At the end of the night she was crowned the new Binibining Pilipinas 2009 – Universe and have the right to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2009. The other winners were Melody Gersbach and Marie-Ann Umali for Miss International 2009 and Miss World 2009 respectively.
Manalo represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2009, held in the Bahamas on August 23, 2009, but did not enter the semifinals.

Miu Nakamura (仲村みう, Nakamura Miu, born March 14, 1991) is a Japanese tarento and gravure idol. She was born in Aomori prefecture, and now resides in Iwate prefecture.
